Our notes on this area
The area around the Grand Bazaar mixes three kinds of stay. Laleli and Aksaray, a few minutes west, have many large hotels used by shoppers and by groups in town for clinic treatment. Beyazıt and Vezneciler have student flats and budget rooms near Istanbul University. The slopes below Süleymaniye hide quieter guesthouses. Our coordinators here write in Russian and Arabic about as often as in English.
The bazaar itself is a car-free maze that closes in the evening and on Sundays, so we meet you at your hotel, never inside the market. Cars come in from Ordu Avenue or the Süleymaniye side; streets on the hill are narrow and one-way, and the nurse may walk a short way. This is the central zone: no visit fee by day, €40 extra at night. If you spent the day carrying bags in the heat, drink water first. A drip is an option the doctor weighs, not a necessity.

Local questions
01Can the nurse come to a hotel near the Grand Bazaar late at night?
Yes. Visits run 24/7, and after 22:00 a €40 night supplement applies. The bazaar is shut by then, but the hotels around it are easy to reach.
02I stay in Laleli. Is that the same zone?
Yes, Laleli and Aksaray are in the central zone, so there is no visit fee by day. Arrival is usually 45–60 minutes after the doctor approves.
03Can I talk to the coordinator in Russian or Arabic?
Yes. Coordinators reply on WhatsApp in English, Russian, Arabic, Persian and Turkish.
04Which drip helps after a long shopping day?
Usually water, food and sleep are enough. If you still want one, Energy Boost (€220) or Myers’ Classic (€220) are common choices, but evidence for them is limited and the doctor reviews your answers first.
