Our notes on this area
Tarabya is on the upper Bosphorus, a long way from the city centre: a bay full of boats, waterfront hotels, fish restaurants at Kireçburnu, and old wooden houses and summer homes along the shore towards Yeniköy. People who book here are mostly hotel guests and summer residents, many from the Gulf, and travellers who chose a calm place to recover after a procedure in the city. The area is quiet at night, so late visits are easy to arrange without disturbing neighbours.
Tarabya is in our far zone, so a visit fee of €30 applies, plus €40 for a night visit between 22:00 and 07:00. Plan on 60–80 minutes after the doctor approves; the coastal road is slow on summer evenings and weekends. Couples get 10% off and groups of 4 or more get 15% off, which helps families staying together in a villa or a hotel suite.

Local questions
01Why is there a €30 visit fee in Tarabya?
Tarabya is in our far zone because it takes longer to reach. The fee is €30 per visit, plus €40 at night between 22:00 and 07:00.
02How long does the nurse take to reach Tarabya?
Usually 60–80 minutes after the doctor approves. On summer evenings and weekends the coastal road can add time.
03Several of us are staying in one villa. Can we all have a drip?
Yes, each person fills in a questionnaire and the doctor reviews them one by one. Groups of 4 or more get 15% off.
04What if I feel very unwell, not just tired?
Chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting or severe pain need emergency care: call 112. An IV drip is not the right answer for acute symptoms.
