Our notes on this area
Rumelihisarı is mostly residential: old houses along the water, flats on the slopes toward Hisarüstü, and a few waterfront restaurants. It sits at the southern edge of Sarıyer district, just below the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. People who book here are usually residents, long-stay renters or guests of friends rather than hotel visitors. Typical reasons are a cold coming on, a draining week or jet lag. Immune Shield is a common request; evidence for wellness drips like this is mixed, and it does not replace rest or your own doctor.
Although the area belongs to Sarıyer, it is in our central zone: no visit fee by day, €40 extra between 22:00 and 07:00. Arrival is usually 50–70 minutes after approval. Bridge traffic can spill onto local roads at rush hour, and the slopes are steep and narrow, so a precise map pin saves time.

Local questions
01Sarıyer is a far district. Do I pay €30?
No. Rumelihisarı is in the central zone even though it belongs to Sarıyer. The €30 far-district fee starts further north, around Tarabya and Sarıyer centre.
02Can I have a drip if I feel a cold coming on?
Often yes. The doctor reviews your symptoms first; chest pain, shortness of breath or fainting need 112, not a drip. A drip may make you more comfortable but will not cure a cold.
03Do you come late in the evening?
Yes, 24/7. Between 22:00 and 07:00 a €40 night fee is added, and the nurse keeps the visit quiet for the neighbours.
