Several large hotels stand on the hill above Dolmabahçe and along the park, and their guests are a mix of business travellers, conference visitors walking over from Harbiye, and medical tourists who chose a calmer, greener base a short ride from the Nişantaşı and Şişli clinics. Some come for a week of dental work, others to recover from hair or aesthetic surgery away from the crowds.
The roads curve through the valley, and Dolmabahçe Avenue and the area around the Beşiktaş stadium can jam on match days, which may add time.
